Dalits Now Live Without Fear Under Yogi Rule: Dr. Lalji Prasad Nirmal Expresses Gratitude to CM

Lucknow — Dr. Lalji Prasad Nirmal, former Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation and Member of the Legislative Council, met with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday to express his gratitude for the significant improvement in the law-and-order situation for Dalits and marginalized communities in the state.

Speaking to the media after the meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence, Dr. Nirmal said, “Thanks to the strict governance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, no gangster or mafia today dares to encroach upon the land of Dalits or the underprivileged in Uttar Pradesh. The days of land grabbing and oppression under previous governments are over.”

He emphasized that Yogi Adityanath has not limited his efforts to rhetoric. “He has taken concrete steps to build an egalitarian society. Dalits and backward sections are now being appointed to government jobs without requiring recommendations. From the Health and Family Welfare Department to the crucial Irrigation Department, Dalit officers have been made heads of departments,” Dr. Nirmal said.

Highlighting the symbolic recognition and respect for Dalit icons, Dr. Nirmal noted that the government has named major institutions and infrastructure after Dalit leaders. “The Medical College in Kannauj and the Polytechnic College under construction in Pratapgarh have been named after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Even the airport in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram, has been named after Maharishi Valmiki,” he added.

He also stated that those who once oppressed Dalits are now either behind bars or have fled the state. “In this government, perpetrators of atrocities against Dalits are either in jail or have been forced to leave Uttar Pradesh,” he said.

During his meeting with the Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal briefed him about the progress of the world-class Ambedkar Memorial currently under construction in Lucknow. He thanked the Chief Minister for his dedication to building a fear-free Uttar Pradesh, especially for the marginalized sections of society.
